|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-07-00154Frankie (male)|
Meet Frankie. This cute little guy is just plain adorable and has a great personality to match. He is a 4-year-old pomeranian who is a little big for a typical pom, weighing 14 pounds. If you are looking for a super cuddly lap dog, Frankie is not your guy. He loves attention and affection, but he also likes his independence. He will sit NEAR you, but not ON you. He loves to go for walks and ride in the car, so he would be a great travel companion. Frankie is great with other dogs, but he isn't much of a play buddy. He kind of co exists and yields to the other dogs when sharing toys. In fact, Frankie prefers to play with people over dogs. He has also lived with cats and been fine. We are told that bunnies are out of the question though. We have had Frankie around children as young as 3 and he was great. He seems to keep his cool even in busy households. Frankie is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. he is also housebroken and crate trained. He is generally very quiet, but does alert when someone comes to the house. He is a very good boy with great manners, medium energy, and a super laid back personality. If you would like to offer Frankie a forever home please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is the first step of the adoption process and required before setting up a meet and greet. His adoption fee is $175. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-06-29-00305Ginger (Fawn) (female)|
Sweet little spicey Ginger.... I'm a precious little girl as happy as can be, except I'm sort of sad because my person went to Heaven. I miss her a bunch, She adopted me when I was a tiny puppy from the nice people at Chihuahua Rescue and I have loved being a part of the 'pack' at my mom's. Well now I still have my sister Katie here, but I know not everyone wants 2 dogs so I might not get to stay with Katie, BUT we are good girls and we behave well. We really aren't big on a rowdy house, we like a nice quiet yard with a fence and we do OK in a car. We both are small and younger girls, I am pretty sure you will love us and we will bring you a lot of joy! Chihuahua Rescue Says: Ginger was one of 3 puppies adopted out at age 10 weeks from Chihuahua Rescue 3 years ago, her name was Fawn and her mom changed her name to Ginger. She is used to a quieter home and other pets, She is small, under 10#, she is house trained, and she loves toys, is OK with cats, doesn't like big dogs, and kids are not her thing. She is vaccinated and micro-chipped, heart worm negative and spayed, Her adoption fee is contingent on whether she is adopted with her sister Katie or not. Concessions will be made if they are adopted as a pair. (Less)

Pomeranian Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Pomeranian is a poufy, fox-like toy breed. Pomeranians are vivacious and intelligent. This breed may become skittish around very young, rambunctious kids. Pomeranians need consistent, thorough obedience training. Pomeranians do fine living in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
