UPDATE - When we took Stella in for her heartworm check and microchip we found a mass in her mouth. That location is very bad as it can spread. We did an xray and her lungs were clear thank goodness. Dr. Childs very kindly made room for her on his very busy schedule and the mass was removed along with 2 teeth and her others were cleaned. Our vet tech loved her and said she was the gentlest soul. She didn't even need help drawing blood for the blood panel. She is now ready to find her forever retirement home. This girl would be a good companion for an older person. She just wants love and petting. She is housebroken. What? My story???? Well my owners let me out to do my business and I was not paying attention to where I was. After a little while I discovered I was lost and could not find my way home. Some nice people found me and took me to a big building filled with very loud dogs and put me in a cage. I could not get out to do my business when I needed and I could hardly sleep at all it was so loud. I waited and waited for my owners to find me but they never came. Instead a very soft spoken lady came to my cage and said come on out of there little girl and let's go! She took me for a car ride and I was very scared. I could not stop shaking and wanted my momma and daddy. But when we got to the home she let me out into the green green grass and boy did I have to go. There are other dogs here but they leave me alone for the most part. The door is always open so I can go out and do my business like I was taught. After I got used to the other dogs and the home I took a very very long nap... I also get cookies which I like very much!! I guess it is not so bad here.... maybe I will stay awhile! Stella was picked up as a stray and pulled from Animal Control. She is a bigger Pom mix (thinking sheltie) at 30 lbs although she could stand to lose a couple. She is a sweet old soul that just wants to have a safe place and be loved. She gets along with other dogs, ignores cats. Not sure about kids but I really don't think it would be an issue if they are gentle with her. We are thinking she is around 11-12 years young. Are you looking for a couch buddy? This could be your girl!! PREADOPTION FORM CAN BE FILLED OUT ONLINE AT http://pcmrescue.weebly.com/pre-adopt.html (Less)

Pomeranian Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Pomeranian is a poufy, fox-like toy breed. Pomeranians are vivacious and intelligent. This breed may become skittish around very young, rambunctious kids. Pomeranians need consistent, thorough obedience training. Pomeranians do fine living in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
