Pomeranian Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected

This is Mosey! He is an 8 year old Pekingese-Pomeranian mix who adores being pet and will make a great only dog. He enjoys trots around the neighborhood, being pet, rolling on his back in the sunny grass, and, did I mention, being pet? I adopted him from the pound in February as a friend for my other dog, but it has not worked out, which is why he should be the only pet in the house. I think that he has not come from a happy background, as he is sensitive about his belly and afraid of feet at time (as if he were kicked,) so he would thrive most with a gentle owner in a calm house. He is neutered, microchipped, housebroken, and is very ... (Read More)friendly with people. He has been treated for his heartworms (and is heartworm negative now - yay!), his shots have been updated, and he has had an extensive dental. Mosey is a very sweet, devoted fellow (with a fabulous tail!) and would love to be your #1 friend. If I cannot find him a new home by 10/31, I will be forced to return him to the pound. (Less)

Pomeranian Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I am a very happy Pomeranian mix fellow!! I'm very loving, sweet and gentle, am 9 years old and weigh 7 pounds at the most! Even though I'm 9 years old, I have a ton of life left in me! I lived with a woman my whole life but she could not keep me because she went into a nursing home and could not take me with her. I love women and men and get along really well with other dogs no matter their size. I also get along fine with cats! I'm house trained and I'm definitely a lap dog! I would do best in a home where a person is home all the time or they can take me with them wherever they go! I will be your shadow - I want to go wherever you go. ... (Read More) I love to ride in the car. I walk well on a leash and will walk right next to you without a leash as well. I am used to going to the bathroom off leash, so a fenced in yard might be best. I eat twice a day, morning and night - 1/4 cup of dry food each time. I am a social eater and like for you to be in the room when I'm eating! I sleep on the bed at the end of it near your feet. I've been neutered, am heartworm negative, and am up to date with vaccinations. My adoption fee is $150. I won't be adopted out into an environment with children under the age of 8 years old because I am not used to the activity levels of small/young kids. If this pet interests you or you have any questions about this pet, please fill out an online application at and we will be happy to answer any questions and arrange a visit! (Less)

Animal ID: 15-09-26-00019Peanut (male)

Pomeranian Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations, Abused/Neglected,
 Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

I rescued Peanut from the local pound. He was found running along the side of the road.. No one came to claim him, even though he had a collar and clearly had an owner. When I met him, he was very calm and quiet. He got along great with my lab, and seemed like the perfect dog for me and my husband. My husband is partially blind, and I suffer from high anxiety levels. So I wanted a small therapy dog. However Peanut started showing signs of abuse and aggression towards my husband. He would bite him if told to move from the door to let visitors in, or if a toy was being put up. He is also VERY hyper and LOVES to bark and whine. I am not able to ... (Read More)deal with this, neither is my husband. I feel awful that I cannot keep him, he is a sweet dog once he calms down. But he is causing me panic attacks and has bitten myself and my husband out of fear from being startled. (we believe he was abused before he came to us). I have tried rehoming him already and he has been brought back because he stayed underneath the bed/couch all day and would not come out to eat for three days. So the owner brought him back. I do not know what to do anymore. It has gotten to the point where I have considered even taking him back to the shelter. But I could never do that to any animal. I need help getting this little guy a home!! (Less)
