Rescue Me ID: 15-03-20-00103Taz (male)

Pomeranian Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

ARF! ARF! Introducing the amazing and wonderfully-talented comedian canine TAZ! He is a healthy and happy 9-year-old, 9-pound Pomeranian boy that is sure to make any bad day turn to the best just by seeing him. Taz is the sweetest guy you will ever meet and loves his rubs! He will make you laugh by the goofy positions he contorts into just to be near you for some scratches. After a few minutes, he finds his spot and naps with you. Taz just wants a family of his own that will love him forever. The poor boy has been shuffled from home to home and, at one point, was even surrendered to a shelter. We are not sure how anyone could ... (Read More)give up such a calm sweet guy. Taz is 95% housebroken; he does occasionally do a nervous squat and dribble if you reach down to pick him up too quickly. This is easily managed by using a belly band. He is not a big barker unless someone comes to the door then he will be your own personal doorbell. Taz does have some hair loss due to a previous flea infestation and may possibly have allergies, but has greatly improved since coming into our care; he should remain on a high-quality, grain-free diet. He needs a home that will love and cherish his comical personality. He is great with other dogs, kids, and people. He is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is an awesome copilot in the car! If you are interested in adopting Taz, please submit an application at http://PawsitivelyPom.rescuegroups.org. His adoption fee is $250 (reduced to $150 for senior citizens 65 and older), which includes current vaccinations, neuter, microchip, heartworm and fecal tests, a recent dental cleaning, bloodwork, and many skin cultures and biopsies. Rescue Me ID: 15-01-17-00123Owen (male)

Pomeranian    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Owen is one very special little man! We rushed to a high-kill shelter after they called and told us his owner had requested they euthanize him due to a relentless cough. Fortunately, they talked the owner into surrendering and he was in our arms that evening. We are looking for a person that has experience with congestive heart failure and/or collapsing tracheas. Owen does have a significant heart enlargement and a Grade 6 and murmur. He will likely enter congestive heart failure at some point. He also has a very narrow trachea. However, we have found the meds to control his cough. On these meds, he could live another two years. We ... (Read More)are also looking for a home within an hour's drive of Harrisburg, PA. We do not want to stress his heart with a long transport or flight. Owen needs a calm home and with someone able to handle frequent vet visits when the time comes. Owen is only 8 years old and weighs 7-8 pounds. He is a very laid back kind of guy and is not a big barker at all. He will, however, talk to you and engage in a barking conversation with you when fired up. He is a true lover and will follow you everywhere. He also has two Grade 4 luxating patellas; both kneecaps are sitting on the inside of his legs. Unfortunately, sweet Owen will have to live with these jello knees as his heart is not a candidate for sedation. Our standard adoption fee is $250 (discounted to $150 for senior citizens). He has been neutered, given a dental, brought current on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm and fecal tested. Rescue Me ID: 14-10-08-00445Precious (female)

Pomeranian    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My name is Precious and that's exactly what my caretakers think of me. The doctor says I am about 6-8 years old and weigh 11.5 pounds. They don't know much about my past, because I came from a very bad situation. I had 8 other Pommy siblings, but one of them died before our rescue could get to us. Before that, there were tons and tons of baby dogs in the house, as we were all used to make our humans money. I'm a very friendly girl and I really love any human that will show me affection. I'm very afraid of this world though. You see, I wasn't really taken outside nor was I petted all that often. So, I just need you to know that I'm a ... (Read More)good girl, but I cower to the floor when you come near. I will wag my tail to show you that I want you near, but all this attention is going to take some getting used to. I also need a little bit of patience with me learning to use the grass to go potty. In my old home, all nine of us tried to be good dogs and we used the puppy pads, but after a while, those pads were all full and we all went potty anywhere we could. I'm also learning to sleep in bed with my caretaker, but I haven't yet been secure enough to stay with her all night. I like other dogs and my caretaker is trying to tell me that it's not ok to growl when I'm finally getting attention and another dog comes near. I'm too scared to take a big leap and like taking baby steps. There was a kitten in my old home, but they kept her in another room, so my rescue doesn't know if I tolerate cats or not. I'm just a very good little girl and I need someone to love me and teach me that this world is not full of terrible people. I will give you my everything if you give me yours!! If you are interested in giving Precious a wonderful, forever home, please visit our website to submit an application at http://PawsitivelyPom.rescuegroups.org. Her adoption fee is $250 and is discounted to $150 for those over age 65. She is spayed, current on vaccinations and has had heartworm/lyme and fecal tests, microchipped, and a dental cleaning.)     Zander is a beautiful red Pomeranian who is a laid back kind a guy!! He is 9.5 years old, weighs 13.5 pounds, and is completely housetrained.
