MEET DAMON Name: Damon Breed: american eskimo/pomeranian Age: est 4 years Height: est 13 inches Weight: about 22 lbs Good with dogs? yes Good with men? loves 'em Good with women? loves 'em House trained? working on it Crate trained? yes Leash trained? working on it Must have fenced in yard? no Foster home is: Dreamweaver Farms Pacolet SC Adoption fee: $125 Date into rescue: 06/13/13 Why am I with a rescue group? HI! Boy have I got a story to tell. My name is Damon. I found myself alone in a trailer, nobody to help me, then all of a sudden, these 'poodle' people were feeding me, and cleaning me up. They gave me a soft bed to lay on and a lot of attention. At first, I was so scared that I didn;t want them touching me, so I would react. But I realized that they cared and anted to cuddle and play. So I relaxed. Now I love having attention given to me Damons is considered 'special needs.' As bizarre as this may sound, he goes into frenzies where he attacks his own tail/back legs. This is usually done when he gets put into a crate, but if the mood ever strikes - he will do it anywhere. He has seen a vet, and no, they do not know why he does this either. This doesn't happen all the time, not even every day. Damon has bitten a few people, and this behavior may always stay with him. He is for the most part a very sweet, very affectionate dog. He will sit in your lap and cuddle with you. He will lay by your feet and watch tv. He will chase a tennis ball (for hours, and hours) if you'll play with him. How I act when I first meet new people: friendly Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. |Rescue Me ID: 14-11-10-00889Chumbo (male)|
Chumbo lived in a empty home for four weeks. He has been through hell in back eating feces and trash to stay alive. A landlord found him very sick. Now he is happy loving & loyal. Chumbo was his name through about 5 or 6 homes he was passed around in this mobile home park. He knows his name and really loves it and likes to hear you say it while he does a little dance. Awesome with my kids. We really love him. He is fully vetted. He wants a new family but not a new name. Its the only thing in his life that has been his. :(

Pomeranian Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Pomeranian is a poufy, fox-like toy breed. Pomeranians are vivacious and intelligent. This breed may become skittish around very young, rambunctious kids. Pomeranians need consistent, thorough obedience training. Pomeranians do fine living in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
