|Personality:|| Average Energy, Submissive |
|Health:|| Neutered, Vaccinations Current | Nash is a 16 lb. 5 year old Taurus from Nebraska. He is a playful, energetic, loving, and intelligent boy. He has a very fox like appearance and vocalizes like a fox at times. Nash likes to go for walks and prances along your side. Sometimes he tries to lead but responds well to correction. He is crate trained and will go to his den when told it is 'den time.' He is neutered, no heartworm, up to date on all of his shots, and had a teeth cleaning in February 2014. Nash has a lighter coat then a puffy Pom. And looks great and sheds less by just trimming off some of the length of his coat. He loves to be pampered. He is not a vacuum chaser and ... (Read More)has even allowed me to vacuum his coat! Easy! He can be excitable around his feeding times but has been responding well to training and with coaxing will sit calmly while waiting for breakfast or dinner. He likes bananas, peas, carrots and lots of fresh water! We have fed him a raw diet from Primal Dog foods, consisting of meat, bone, and lots of organic veggies. His coat is silky soft! His favorite games are tug and wrestling with another dog or his human on the floor. Nash is a nibbler and a whittler. He will jump up to give you a kiss but not with a lick, he uses his lips! He is sensitive to emotions and is a comfort in times of stress with a paw on your knee or cheek. Nash needs an energetic playful companion who will be dedicated to continue training Nash. He is very agile and could do agility training or be a great Frisbee dog. He is house trained and does not have accidents aside from the occasional small dog excited wetting. He has a marking issue and we are attempting now to train him with a band and waiting for him to attempt this behavior again to see if we can correct it. As it is an infrequent issue it's something that needs to be continued for some time. Nash has responded so well to all previous training we are confident that this behavior will be corrected. He has learned already to heel when walking, sit quietly and wait for his meal to be prepared and put down. He has been trained to stay off furniture and to walk behind his master and allow them through doors and gates first and wait to be allowed through. He is intelligent and highly trainable.
