     I have been searching for the past several months on the Rescue Me site and I found the posting for this beautiful little girl Pomeranian. I knew she would be the perfect fit for our family. Dawn from Growl Rescue called me within a few hours and we set up a home visit to see how Piper would get along with our Pom, Gizmo. They seemed to like each other and I knew immediately that she was the one! Within a couple hours, this sweet girl was a part of our family and we have only had her for 24 hours but she has already settled in and is feeling comfortable with us.      Having to re-home a pet is a heartbreaking process and one that I hope no one has to go through. While you may think that it will never happen to you, sometimes it is in the best interests of the family and pet. Unfortunately I did have to go through this process and thanks to Rescue Me I was able to find the best possible home for my Oliver. After meeting with the new family and seeing how much they love and spoil their dogs (and how much my little guy loved them immediately), I knew I was doing the right thing. Although I am still sad, I know I have done what is best for Oliver. Thank you so much to Rescue Me for providing this service to rescue groups and individuals.

     I met Riley last Sunday for the first time at his owner's home. As soon as my friend and I walked in the door, Riley was all over us, jumping up and down and showering us with kisses. We sat and spoke with his owner for about an hour. The whole time Riley went between myself and my friend on the sofa playing with us and kissing us. I instantly fell in love with him. I assured his owner that I would give him a safe, loving home. I took him home with me within an hour of meeting him. We have had a great first week. I let him out in our big back yard and I don't see him again for at least 10 minutes. He runs from one end to the other and around and around. We are already on a schedule and he is doing great. I had just lost my 12 year old Pomeranian, Buddy, from kidney failure. The emptiness I felt is gone thanks to Riley. I even think that Riley sees Buddy's spirit. He suddenly stands up on the bed or sofa and starts growling and barking at absolutely nothing. I tell him it is just Buddy is checking up on us and he lays down again. He is great company and I love him with all my heart. Thank you Rescue Me for a great service. I can't believe how quickly I found another fur-baby to share my life with.

     I was given Paisley by an elderly lady who couldn't get her trained and was going to have to give her up to the pound. Paisley was a super energetic Pom, that was raised with small children and a sibling, so she was already very friendly. She just wouldn't stop barking! I spent a few months training her to be calmer and to only bark occasionally, socialized her even more, and got her weight down. She was adopted by a retired man and his wife to be a sweet, soft companion with a swishy tail. She now barks when someone needs to be alerted, to protect her family, and quickly calms down afterward. Thank you, Rescue Me!

     We adopted Rico from a lady that was fostering him last year. He was not your typical Pom. He was very mellow and very skittish of certain things, like a broom and smoke detectors. We only knew that his owner left him outside in the back yard in the dead of one of the coldest winter's we ever had here. The neighbors found him almost frozen to death. Rico is chipped and the animal control kept calling the owner to come pick up Rico, but the owner failed to do so. We have the owner's name and he should be prosecuted to the fullest for animal abuse. Long story short, we were only a temporary home for Rico. He was happy when he came home to use, but after several months he was having anxiety withdrawals when we would go to work all day, and he would have accidents in the house. Rico was used to being with other animals during the day. We knew he needed to be with another dog or animal and we tried to find another Pom, but no luck. We felt it was time to find him a home where there were other animals besides being alone all day. So we posted him on Rescue Me, and found him a very nice home with a family that had so much love, attention and time to give to Rico. Someone was home during the day and at night. The family already has a Pom named Tank. They drove all the way to get Rico, and they brought their Pom, Tank, with them. It was very heartbreaking to say goodbye to Rico, but deep down we knew this is what he needed... To be with a companion. We keep in contact with his new family and by the photos they share with us, Rico looks so happy and Tank and him are the best of buds and love each other. Rico is more spoiled now than ever and he deserves every bit of it for the treatment he received from his first owner. We miss him everyday, but it was worth the heartbreak for Rico's happiness. Thank you again to the family that took Rico into their home and has given him a great life. Special thanks to Rescue Me founder, Jeff Gold. What a wonderful website. Bless you!

     Our very elderly black and tan Pom passed away, so we were looking for some company for our little red sable girl. Kimberly couldn't have been more understanding and brought Wiley over to meet the family. Even though he's a pretty big boy, he's so sweet and very smart. He and Miss Mollie sleep with me and are becoming best friends. There's still a lot of puppy in him so it's really fun to watch him tear around the yard. He also loves going on walks. He minds beautifully and is so eager to please. We love him! Thank you, Rescue Me.

     I found the most wonderful home that I could hope to give Mouse the forever home he deserved. Mouse was my sister's dog, she passed away of ovarian cancer and I couldn't keep Mouse.      Last March, we had to put our dear Pomeranian, Bear Bear, to sleep. He had cancer and was 11 years old. This past week, we found Texas, our new Pom with the help of Rescue Me! We drove today and brought him to our home. We sure are glad to have a Pomeranian in the house to love and care for again. He is a very sweet, loving, little fellow. Thank you, Jeff Gold, for founding such a fine organization to join needy dogs with families who need dogs to love and care for.      Thank you, Rescue Me. It was like Christmas at our house yesterday. We adopted a Pom mix named Abbey. I had been looking at her off and on for a while. We lost our Pom after 16 years about a month ago and we weren't really sure which way we wanted to go. Little Abbey has taken a lot of that heartache away. It has been great adopting a dog that isn't just a puppy. She came with shots, was spayed, goes outside to go potty and we have missed all of those things you have to do with puppies. My experience with Rescue Me and Anythings Pawsable has been great. Two of their members brought her from her home all the way to our house. It is a good, long drive. They encouraged us to 'just do a trial run for a week or so. But as soon as she got used to us, and we were able to pet her, we knew we didn't need to do a trial run. I know I will keep in touch with the Anything Pawsable people because they were so caring. We made a really good choice that I know we won't regret.

     I was amazed that within 12 hours I was getting inquiries about Ginger. Three days after my posting, Ginger went to live with her new family. We met at my house with the new owners Chihuahua and the two immediately hit it off. Both dogs were calm and submissive before we let them meet and they immediately smelled each other and were perfectly fine with each other. We took a long walk together as a pack and both dogs reacted like mature well adjusted pack members. After the walk I was convinced that this was a good fit for both Ginger and his new owner. I am thoroughly pleased with the service and results provided by Rescue Me! The lady who adopted Ginger will make a donation directly to Rescue Me as the adoption fee. Thank you Jeff and your entire organization for the ease and peace of mind you gave me concerning Ginger's future.

     Cymba has a new home and a new brother. I am so glad that Rescue Me is available for animals to find a new home when circumstances change. We would never have met the new owners without this organization. She had lost her pet to illness and I wanted a good home for my elderly parents dog. Cymba has Humprey, a sharpei, as a new brother. Cymba will get the attention she needs and Humprey gets a new playmate. I will be looking for a dog after my house is rebuilt from a fire and this is the first place I will look to find that pet who needs a good home.

Bob and Alf make a great pair and we are only sad that his original owner could no longer keep him.

     This morning a wonderful couple came to visit Joey and they seemed to have fallen in love with him, as has their dog Riley. Joey and Riley seem like they are going to be best friends and buddies. It makes me feel good that placing Joey with them was the right choice.      Thank you for helping me find a home for my dogs. I lost my husband last year and couldn't keep my dogs. A lady called and said she wanted to adopt them. My niece took them to her and she said they are doing very well. The best part is she lives close to the hospital where my husband passed away. I felt like it was a sign from him.      My wife and I have adopted two Pomeranians in the past two years through Rescue Me! The first was a sweet little black Pom who was caged for four years and very shy. She sleeps with us and loves ruling the roost. She is absolutely wonderful, very expressive and loving, and we love her to pieces. The most recent one is a precious cream-colored Pom whose caring family had to give her up because of the confines and restrictions of townhouse life. She is very curious, loving, and happy and has adjusted extremely well to life on our farm. Our black Pom has readily accepted her into the family. We appreciate Rescue Me and the opportunity it provides for people like us to adopt such wonderful little dogs.
